New program in Lonestar College

Houston is known as a world capital of the oil and gas industry with over 5000 energy firms doing business in the region.The economy of Houston is based primarily on the energy industry, particularly oil. For student who are interested in oil and gas industry,Lone Star College is now offering an Oil and Gas Drilling & Floorhand/Roustabout program. Lone Star College is the first provider to offer the Floorhand/Roustabout Fast-track career certificate that has been accredited by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC®), for the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) competencies in relation to the Workforce Attraction & Development Initiative (WADI) Project.
